Ben Corbett started playing guitar at 11 when he was given a Baritone Ukulele by country music funny man, Jim Haynes that read “Dear Ben, don’t go Feral!” written on the back, but it wasn’t until he was 16 that he started to develop a real passion for the six stringed instrument and hasn’t put the thing down since.
Ben has an Advanced Diploma of Music and is currently studying a Bachelor of Music. He has played guitar for the Bushwackers since 2007 and for artists such as Korey Livy and The Heartleys (NZ). Since joining the Bushwackers he has played at festivals all over the country and strives to continue learning about guitar playing and music.
Ben is a second generation ‘Bushwacker’ with Dad, Roger Corbett playing in the band.
