Diggin’ For Gold
The new single, DIGGIN’ FOR GOLD is in celebration of our 50th anniversary year and induction to The Roll of Renown. Released on 30 April 2021, Diggin’ For Gold was written by Roger Corbett and Dobe Newton, but it is a song far from simply your classic Australiana story.
At first listen, Diggin’ For Gold appears to about the trials and tribulations of looking for gold. Listen more and you will hear how the band found a ‘nugget’ on the second day of being in Tamworth, way back in 1981, shaping their very first Golden Guitar Award.
Plus rumour had it that the band threw the award into the Peel River but that is simply an urban myth!
Listen for yourself.
