Roger Corbett joined The Bushwackers in 1980 and with Dobe Newton is one of the longest serving members. Roger steers the musical direction with songwriting and producing of the albums and plays guitar. He also handles the management of the band.

Roger is a multiple Golden Guitar winning,  record producer, with numerous successful songs to his credit. He continues to write and record songs which achieve success in the wider Industry. His songwriting credits include   (for The Bushwackers) ‘Another Trip To Bunnings’ ‘Oh How The Memories Have Flown’ ‘Leave It In The Ground’, ‘The Good Old Days’ ‘April 25’  ‘Henry’s Men’ ‘Beneath The Southern Cross’ ‘This Is The Place For Me’ and many others. He also wrote  ‘The Fire Within’ (the theme song for the opening of the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games), ‘Bridge of Love’ the hit song for the 1994 International Year Of The Family and ‘Since Cheryl Went Feral’ the chart hit for Jim Haynes as well as countless other songs which have received awards, accolades and chart positions.

Roger Corbett is the General Manager for the highly successful Academy of Country Music, teaching such stars as Sara Storer, Brooke and Samantha McClymont, Drew McAlister and Brendon Walmsley. Roger conducts many workshops and seminars at the Academy  mainly in the craft of songwriting and studio production but encompassing performance, musicianship and music business.

Roger Corbett is a successful producer of over 150 Independent music recordings from his Valley Studio in Lorn In The Hunter Valley. He continues to work with many developing performer/songwriters helping Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Mandolin, Harmonica and Songwriting.
